i'm thinking i might still picked this up... a bunch of the conplaints are similiar to chromehounds but I that game was good. This game should be simply slightly faster paced... I already have it paid off, so its kind of a tough call...
that's insane!
Bungie spent a lot of time balancing weapons and testing server connections and the matchmaking prior to getting around to the graphics. I'm guessing that that part is just about done and now they are gearing up for the public beta.
just like of course the president of the bluray association would say that bluray has already won. both are spinning facts. Time will tell which one really wins.
I just realized that this might not be an inengine render, but is maybe a normal mapping render. In today's graphics developers will render a model with super high polycount and then take that wireframe to generate the normal mapping that goes onto a lower poly character.
but then again, the quality is so similar to table tennis that I'm not gonna make any kind of judgement either way.
i just picked up rockstar's table tennis game, and this looks very similar to that engine for some reason. I wouldn't doubt that this could be real, especially on the 360, since the boys at rockstar have good experience with the 360's architecture.
the wii60 was started by peter moore, saying that if someone bought both systems then they would have a system to show to guests (wii) and a personal system to play (360) and that by buying both they would be able to spend less than the price of the ps3. Reggie got very offended that any other system would sit next to the wii and has since gone on to bash the 360 at every opportunity. Just like what he did here... its kinda sad, microsoft compliments ninty and ninty insults microsoft...
I mean really, microsoft hasn't ever really sad anything too negative about the wii. In fact, Peter Moore has even praised it and asked reggie for one. He adopted the wii60 idea and said that the wii is a very fun and inovative device and that microsoft needs to learn from nintendo. But Reggie won't stop bashing the 360 at every opportunity. This guy needs to learn some humility and play a little nicer... he's beginning to sound like a sony rep.
isn't this game already out? how does a game thats out get delayed?
or, is this in Europe and just not very clear??
if he doesn't like the architecture then he shouldn't develop for it. In fact he said that the white engine has already been developed to work for the 360 so he's simply saying it would make sense and be a fairly easy process. He also is saying that the 360 makes a better business model because the install base is much larger than the ps3 and thus square would be able to make more moeny. Moving a game from the 360 to the ps3 doesn't make as much sense, especially if it means getting funds ...
look at the wii... nintendo invested very little money in the system and a whole lot of money in marketing (around 200 million US dollars) and thus far has been extremely successful..
marketing is extremely powerful, convince someone to buy something and it doesn't matter how great the system is. That's why ps3 is doing so poorly, not because of the cost, but because sony has alienated customers and basically convinced them not to buy the system (doesn't matter if its the mos...
i noticed that too, he definitely doesn't say that they are working directly with the ps3. But remember the sakaguchi interview where he mentioned that he played with the ps3 debug kit? Some fanboys twisted that and said that mistwalker was bringing a game to the ps3 (in a later interview he said that he hates sony's architecture)
but just because a company is toying with other systems, doesn't necessarily mean that a game is coming out... but i suppose its always possible.
"HS: [in English] Ah, Kutaragi-san's architecture...seven DSPs and a low-powered CPU. I don't like the PS3's architecture."
wow, didn't know sakaguchi liked to give flame-bait....
anywho, i'm really excited for a blue dragon demo, that would be awesome. And he hit it on the nose, microsoft doesn't get japanese marketing... but maybe games will eventually speak louder than do, do, do
"I like simulation games. And I wasn't a great fa...
my anticipation for this game keeps rising, every new screen and video makes this game look even better
its not to pricey for the quality of game.. it just breaks out of the 400 point retro tag... considering it is not a new game it would be consider retro... thus it would have been expected to be 400 points...
but like i said, still worth it.
maybe a lil pricey at 800 points, but still well worth it... viva la xbla
alright lil, you're right it is warner... but if you do a search for it, it does not have bluray listings, but does have hd-dvd listings. I imagine that even though its warner, Peter Jackson has some control over where it ends up and since wingnut studios is so closely tied to microsoft I'd imagine he convince them to only put it on one format...
but time will tell ;-)
some are around 25, but the new releases are all about 40 dollars. At target and best buy (where I do most of my dvd shopping) the hd-dvds are on average 10 dollars less, coming in at between 20-30 dollars while the blurays are around 30-40... but there are exceptions
Plus, when I worked at EB games, our selection of bluray's was about 6 movies.. not quite as deep a selection as I like to choose from.
true, 10 years from now it will be a memory... i just think 3 years is a little presumptive... and if you have either High def drive then you are probably buying movies for it. the next year will be interesting to see which format starts to edge out the other.
sony and the bluray federation should hope that the ps3 starts moving more than 250,000 worldwide per month or things might stop being so rosy...however, the european launch should help
that being said, I ...
that's a really great deal...
